Procession

In “Procession,” the woman represents all of us.  Our past (the child) is both with us and behind us.

We long for freedom (the aviator helmet), but we must surrender our lives to God to find freedom and peace.  That life with God is something we should seek like a precious pearl (Matthew 13:45-46).  The birds are flying out of her heart representing our releasing to become what we were created to be.  The fish is a symbol of Christ and the toy donkey refers to Jesus’ triumphal procession into Jerusalem upon the back of a donkey colt (Matthew 21:5)
