Lamp
This piece is inspired by the scripture: “You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty. You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:27-29
The dark blue area represents the darkness around us, but the light of the Lord creates a double halo of light and color around the saint. There are seven points of light surrounding the man to represent: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalm 119:105
The calligraphic line represents the word of the Lord or prayer language.
