The saint is surrounded by two symbols, the koi fish and the Great White shark.  Both are fish, but they have very different connotations.  The koi fish is tranquil and represents Christ.  The shark is a predator and represents all that seeks to harm us in the physical and spiritual worlds.  The koi is ‘over’ her mind and while it may seem like the weaker animal, it symbolizes the strength of the Lord.  “For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.” (1 Corinthians 1:25)  We must remember while going through trials and in all things to “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
