The Saint and the Zeppelin
“The Saint and the Zeppelin” is inspired by the scripture: “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16
I love this scripture because of the images it conjures. The Saint gently balances the dove on her finger one hand and grips the toy snake by the head in the other. Her face is resolute and calm despite the danger and chaos outside her window. She also wears a white dress to represent the Bride of Christ waiting patiently and at the ready for Christ’s return.
