Pulse of Transformation

“Pulse of Transformation” is based on part of the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your Name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
(Matthew 6:9-10)

The stars in outer space represent the heavenly realms.  The wonders of the heavens cover her head, her mind.  Our spirits, minds, and bodies are changed by the love of Christ and we strive to have the mind of Christ. “For, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”
(1 Corinthians 2:16

The landscape in her body represents the earth.  The beauty of an earthly sunrise represents a new
beginning.  The sky is full of stars that will disappear with the
coming dawn.  The ground is mysteriously turning in to the night sky.  This shows that the Lord knows the beginning from the end already and He is.

Another aspect of this piece, is the placement of the earth and heavens.  The heavens surround her head, her mind, so this encourages us to meditate on heavenly, spiritual things, and seek to have the mind of Christ.  The ‘earth’ is her body.  Right now, our flesh is of the earth, but it is not the only part of us.  This innate longing for something more is part of every one of us.

Note: The calligraphic lines on the side have several purposes.  First, they are part of the artwork’s composition.  Secondly, they are reminiscent of the ‘writing on the wall from the book of Daniel in the Bible.  Third, they represent the language of prayer that
connects our spirit to the Holy Spirit.
