Latent Radiance

In “Latent Radiance,” points of light radiate from the saint’s head and overlap her halo.  In between some of the rays of light, the color red peeks through to show that we are purified, covered, and protected by the Blood of Christ (1 John 1:7)

Her hair is made up of the ’heavens’ to show that although we dwell in the earthly realm, we are also spirits and as we change our focus to the will of God, our mind will be transformed into the mind of Christ.

The cherry blossom branch represents two things.  One, it represents the world in which we live in.  No matter how lofty we think we are, we dwell in the earth and must be present here to “Love one another” (John 13:34-35) and help those in need.  Two, the branch represents the sweet fragrance of prayer and communion with God.  We must not forget to nourish our relationship with God despite the worries of the world.
