House of Prayer
“House of Prayer” is inspired by the scripture passage in Isaiah 56:6-8. Verse 7b reads “for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
The woman represents all believers. The smoke in her body represents incense and prayers to the Lord Our bodies are described as temples to the Lord in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and David describes his prayers as incense before the Lord in Psalm 141:2. And in Revelation 8:3 the prayers of the people were offered with incense to the Lord.
Behind her is the world because we are in the world as Christ’s ambassadors. Because of the prayers of the host of witnesses in the world, the heavens are being poured out on the earth.
