This piece was purposely designed as two canvases that are then attached at the center.  It is significant that both hair colors are the same as well as the colors of the back ground mirror each other.  Inside each woman is a similar drawing of fruitful growth to symbolize that the same desires, hopes, priorities, and Spirit dwell within each woman.

The woman on the right panel reaches out to her more tentative sister on the left.  Both women have a butterfly over their minds to represent the renewal of our minds that must take place on both sides of this issue.

Connecting the two across their breasts, is a line of red symbolizing the Blood of Christ which is the only thing that will heal hearts.  Golden thorns wrap around the Blood representing forgiveness.

A prayer of Jesus: “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. “ John 17:22-23
