“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:6
In the Bible, people and things were anointed, consecrated, to be set apart. Frequently this involved pouring oil on the person or thing. This was in recognition of a calling that was confirmed in the person. In order to fully walk in the calling, talents, or gifts, a person must be obedient to God. Walking in humility will always move obstacles that get in the way of the destiny God has for us. These obstacles can be physical, emotional or spiritual.
The person in this piece represents all of us. The head is bowed and colors and gold flow over them in anointing.
“He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. “ 1 Corinthians 1:21-22
The calligraphic line represents the word of the Lord or prayer language.
